Alright people, again apologies for not updating this blog while I was traveling… I am still kind of in holiday mode so please do excuse me if this piece of writing is utterly crap and confusing!!
Also, thank you to the 2,000 or so people that still visit this blog regularly.
Now, onto the business of making stunning photos.
This is the final image that I want to share with you and a step by step pictorial on how I did using only Adobe Lightroom.
First of all, I absolutely LOVE Adobe Lightroom, it is the number one program which I go to for catologing, previewing, editing, printing, pretty much everything that involves photos, it is lightroom. There is nothing wrong against photoshop, but the ability to edit a whole batch of photos at one time is just awesome and such a time saver.
1.
This is the original image straight out of the camera with White Balance “As Shot”, the strobe was not gelled. (Note: camera setting is set to neutral)
2.
A simple crop and level.
3.
Changed the White Balance to “Auto”.
4.
Added 2 Graduated Filter with orange color on the top left and right of the image.
5.
Added more warmth to the image.
6.
Tighter crop and flipped the image, and there you have it!!
I am by no means a photoshop wizard, in fact I hate spending hours in front of a computer when I could be out there shooting, so I am always searching for easier ways to present an image in its best possible way. I hope this proves to some people that editing is not hard, and can improve the picture significantly.
